My first visit to a frame maker in Singapore was like walking in to a very posh gallery and the suggestions for frames was bold and beautiful but so expensive that it was out of reach. Further down the same street i found the Chinese chain of frame makers Merlin. They had my first order and it was okay both in quality, price and service. If you have sizes that can fit and don’t mind a little work Ikea also have good frames. But after that a designer colleague told me about Kerbau Road in little India where the craftsmanship and price was excellent. Particularly if you are looking for a colonial double mounted look. It depends on the artwork of course. I have not been in Singapore for a long time so I guess and hope that their are even more to be learn in this field.
