Painting in the summerhouse

I have been painting this in the Swedish evening light that I have enjoyed for a couple of weeks. The finished piece will be exhibited in Galleri Bergman, Karlstad in November. The setting is about good things in life, but the gray shadows from the trees talks about the obstacles in between great coffee, good music and love. The Mondays, the worries and the long hours before Friday afternoon. But maybe the lady in red has found a way to be in the present more often to be just at the place that is perfect for her. I think that holiday time is often a time when we start to think about our life, our choices and what we really truly want and why.

The painting in based on my photograph from Singapore, in acrylic.
