Where art and people meet in Singapore

The Art Club Singapore

From the 17th of September I will start my #exhibition “Monks and Prada” at The Art Club, Singapore.

Art talks on the 17th and 18th of September.

The #exhibition will continue until the 17th of October.

I am very excited to hold this exhibition as I think that The Art Club is a one of a kind gallery and maybe even more a meeting spot for art and people.  Daniel Ord one of the founders describes it like this:

Since opening our doors in 2011, the mission of The Art Club Singapore is to present the visual artworks, including paintings, drawings, watercolours and sculptures, by select mid to late career fulltime Artists from around the world to our audience in Singapore and the region.

We have deep personal relationships with each one of our Artists, in some cases going back 20 or 30 years.  This gives us the privilege of not only sharing their works, but also their stories, methods and inspirations.

In 2012, we extended our Collection to include masterworks by globally recognized Artists including Mauro Corda, Rodin, Chagall, Rembrandt, Matisse, Sid Avery, Diego Rivera, Aurora Canero, Botero and more.

In early 2013 we opened up our Estate Collection.  We are now privileged to show treasures from private Collectors including rare artworks, vintage and antique jewellery, antique marbles and much more from around the world.  From fine Orrefors Nobel crystal through to a solid silver prayer book from Bhutan we have a lot to see.

We now liken ourselves to an Aladdin’s Cave full of treasures.

Many of our Friends & Clients spend several hours with us wandering from room to room looking at paintings, drawings, jewellery, sculptures and fine collectibles.  It’s certainly a wonderful environment to work in!

We also use our casual shophouse setting to host a variety of lectures and discussions on art, as well as shows and Artist receptions.

We are looking forward to meeting you ad welcome you to The Art Club Singapore.
