Artist Bio, Ingela Johansson
Ingela Johansson’s art is about finding the power in your own emotions — by letting them all be painted. Her work explores how feeling relates to sensuality, dreams, and desire, and our freedom to express these without social taboos or judgment. Art for the heart ❤️
Using a multi-disciplinary approach that combines torn collage, coffee, crushed marble, charcoal, ink, and acrylics, she creates tactile, layered works full of movement and life. Each piece becomes a sensory experience — a meeting between emotion and material.
With exhibitions in Sweden, the US, Singapore, Malaysia, Norway, Hong Kong, the UK, Italy, and Australia, Ingela’s art has reached audiences across continents. She is represented by Barlow Gallery (Tacoma, Washington) and Gallery Lienhart (Stockholm).
