A moment of movement, energy and everyday magic captured through an unexpected material: organic brew coffee from Löfbergs, mixed with expressive ink lines.

The original artwork was painted live on Gamla Kraftstationen and is part of Ingela Johansson’s ongoing Coffee Collection — a series born from a happy accident many years ago in Singapore, when she dipped her brush into her coffee cup by mistake.
Since then, she has explored how different types of coffee behave as pigment: brew coffee, espresso, instant, grounds and even her grandmother’s classic boiled coffee. Each gives its own tone, texture and personality.

Coffee to Go embodies that familiar feeling we all know: the shift between *before* and *after* coffee – and the small everyday rituals that ground us, lift us, and send us on our way.

About the Artist

Ingela Johansson is a Swedish artist and lifelong coffee lover whose expressive art has been exhibited in nine countries. She grew up in Karlstad — a city known for the comforting scent of freshly roasted coffee from the local coffee roaster Löfbergs, a fragrance that has followed her throughout life and now finds its way into her art.

She is represented by Barlow Gallery (US) and Gallery Lienhart (Stockholm).
