Scandinavian Coffee Art Print by Ingela Johansson

Coffee to Meet celebrates the simple, heartfelt ritual of coming together over a cup of coffee.
It’s about conversations that unfold naturally, the pause in the day when people connect, share stories, breathe, laugh, or simply sit together in comfortable silence.
In Sweden, we call it “fika” — a cherished moment where coffee becomes the bridge between us.

The original artwork was painted with espresso coffee from Löfbergs, combined with expressive ink lines capturing warmth, movement and the soft energy of human connection. Espresso creates richer, darker tones — a perfect foundation for a piece about gathering, social rhythm, and the openness that arises when people meet.

This piece is part of Ingela Johansson’s Coffee Collection, a series that began with an accidental dip of a brush into a coffee cup in Singapore in 2014. Since then, she has painted with brewed coffee, boiled coffee, espresso, cold brew, instant coffee and grounds — each bringing its own atmosphere and emotional depth.

Coffee to Meet is a tribute to the beauty of slowing down together.

About the Artist

Ingela Johansson is a Swedish artist and lifelong coffee lover whose expressive art has been exhibited in nine countries. She grew up in Karlstad — a city known for the comforting scent of freshly roasted coffee from the local coffee roaster Löfbergs, a fragrance that has followed her throughout life and now finds its way into her art.

She is represented by Barlow Gallery (US) and Gallery Lienhart (Stockholm).

Her art explores movement, emotion, and the inner stories we carry — bringing art with heart & soul into your home.

Every Painting Has Its Own Story

Every painting I create has its own story - but the most important story is the one you'll create with it. When you bring this artwork into your home, you'll receive a handwritten letter from me sharing the painting's journey. Over time, it will become part of your story, your memories, and your space.

Original paintings by Ingela Johansson come with a handwritten letter about the story behind the work.
“The painting that I bought from Ingela makes me happy when I come home.” — Lillemor Thorsén, Sweden
“The painting I bought reminds me of one of my best days with my sister. It is my favorite.” —Eva Runald
“When I first saw the painting I saw my dog, and next to it me. I love it.” —Helena Yxhammar
