Coffee Art Collection – Fine Art Prints by Ingela Johansson

The coffee paintings in this collection are created using a blend of real coffee and ink.
I often wish you could still experience the scent and real coffee stains on the limited edition prints — because that’s exactly how the originals were born.

My first coffee paintings came to life in 2014 in Singapore, but in 2024 I was invited as a guest artist to the atelier at Gamla Kraftstationen in Deje, where I spent several days painting live.
I worked with espresso, cold brew, instant coffee, and even my grandmother’s boiled coffee — each type giving its own depth, warmth, and character.

The theme behind the collection explores how deeply coffee is woven into our culture.
Across the world — and especially here in Sweden — we treasure the ritual of having a coffee or “fika”; those small pauses that bring comfort, connection, and presence into everyday life.

These artworks are created with a soft ink brush, moving quickly and intuitively. They are almost instant in expression — spontaneous, fluid, and full of life.
From this process, I have curated a selection of pieces that capture the emotion, movement and warmth of painting with coffee.

Every original in this collection was painted on watercolor paper with real coffee, blended with ink to create natural, earthy tones and expressive Scandinavian minimalism.

A new chapter is beginning as well, where I continue exploring coffee as an art form — including painting live with Löfbergs and creating coffee painting experiences for groups. More about that will be shared in my blog.

Bring a piece of this ritual into your home — art created one cup at a time.
